School Guidelines
Learning karate is a privilege, not a right. To ensure a respectful and productive training environment, please adhere to the following guidelines. Any students or spectators causing distractions or problems may be asked to leave.

-
Punctuality: RSVP for class times promptly. If you'll be late, commit to a specific arrival time in advance. Being reliable is a virtue.
-
Be Prepared: All students should be fully prepared for class, and lined up quietly at the class start time.
-
Etiquette: Bow when entering or exiting the dojo, greeting superiors, or working with partners. Use black belt titles properly.
-
Talking: Students and spectators must be silent during class unless addressed by an instructor. Raise your hand to ask a question.
-
Practice: Take advantage of open dojo time (30 minutes before & after class). Train outside of class. Text questions to a senior student.
-
Self Defense: Memorize, understand and follow the Use of Force Guidelines. Protect, don't provoke. No bullying.
-
Facility: Clean up after yourself. Don't touch the mirrors. Only approved training shoes are allowed in the dojo.
-
Safety: No sparring, partner drills, or use of weapons/equipment without the supervision of a black belt or approved advanced student.
-
No Gum or Food: Nothing should be in your mouth unless instructed. Flavored water or electrolyte drinks are permitted.
-
Donations: All students should donate monthly, or make arrangements to contribute in an alternative way.
